ClipMate will run on XP, 2000, NT4, WinME, Win98, and most Win95 systems.
If you have Win95 with IE4, then it will run, otherwise it won't.
Win95+IE4 is the base requirement.
Upgrade Notes From 6.0
----------------------
Shutdown ClipMate if it's running. Install into the same directory, and it will replace
the old one. There are no database issues when moving from v6.0 to v6.1.
Upgrade Notes From 5.x
----------------------
ClipMate 6 is completely oblivious to ClipMate 5, except that
the installer will attempt to find and remove the shortcut to
ClipMate 5 in the startup folder, so that you don't have
two versions running.
ClipMate 6 will not harm your ClipMate 5 data! It installs into
a different location, and keeps data in a separate place. You can
import your ClipMate 5 data into ClipMate 6 through the File menu.
This is a one-way import.
Install into a different directory than 5.x. When you are prompted to create a data
directory, choose a different directory than your 5.x data.
After ClipMate 6 is up and running, you can import your 5.x collections - see
File | Import.
NOTE: Do not force ClipMate 6 to use the same data directory as ClipMate5.
This would make it hard to eventually delete your ClipMate5 data.
REVISION HISTORY
----------------
x = fixed/addressed
e = enhanced
Changes since 6.1.01
----------------------
// x Setup - The 6.1.0 and 6.1.01 installers mistakenly placed the uninstaller in the
// /windows/system directory. This caused the ClipMate uninstall to fail, or
// mention other products (which also may have misplaced THEIR uninstallers).
// If you find a file called UNWISE.EXE in that directory, you can remove it.
// This is now fixed.
// x Fixed a tooltip problem where one tooltip wouldn't turn off, if you opted to hide tooltips.
// x Search - if you did a search, the "view last collection (F5)" function wouldn't go back
// to the right collection.
// e Search - Re-arranged the panels, and made the search panel a little bit smarter. It will
// now position the cursor on the field that you last searched on (title, text, creator, etc.)
// x Database - There was a particular database situation that was incorrectly flagged as an error.
Changes since 6.1.00

// They are now available on the right-click menu. They will also turn off automatically if they encounter errors
// when parsing the data.
// x Added protection against disabling all databases.
// x Added protection against deleting sortkeys, which caused data not to load on subsequent restarts.
// x OnTop causing redraw/transparency problems. - Fixed.

-------------------
// x Fixed problem with display in Classic following Search. Columns would overwrite each other.
// x Changed behavior of PowerPaste to avoid the wrong clip being pasted if you re-selected a
// clip outside of the original selection. This will be enhanced further in a future release
// to allow you to select any clip once a PowerPaste has been initiated. For now, however,
// selecting a clip outside of the original selection range will cancel PowerPaste, and you
// can just turn it back on again. But the results will be predictable now.
Changes from 6.0.01
-------------------
// x Made item type icons optional - if you don't like the little icons (notepad, bitmap, etc.)
// next to the clips in the ClipList, you can turn them off. See Config | User Prefs | Appearance.

// x Font issue in Classic - wasn't paying attention to font override (important on Japanese systems).
// x The spellcheck configuration screen was being placed off-screen on some systems.
